Jade's eyes widened as he told her. "A small bite to the neck, and then the exchanging of blood?" She asked, when he had finished telling her. Looking up into his face, she smiled. "I want to be a vampire too." She said. "Will it be painful?"

[Vilkas]

"Very" Yuan replied after much considering "I must drink until you are on the brink of death, then you must consume the blood of a Loveless"

[Erika]

Jade let him go, and nodded. "I understand." Thinking she cocked her head at him. "You feel no love?" She asked. "Will you eventually feel it for me?"

[Vilkas]

Yuan went to the window and said sadly "I can love... but the price for that love is..."

[Erika]

Jade went to him, and hugged him from behind. "What is the price?" She asked. "I love you."

[Vilkas]

"You die"

[Erika]

Jade hugged him tighter. "You mean, I die to become a vampire?" She asked.

[Vilkas]

"No, this has nothing to do with becoming a vampire!" Yuan shouted and he shut his eyes tightly and bowed his head. He gripped the window sill tightly and said "if I love you, you will die. And stay dead! Becoming a vampire won't change that!"

[Erika]

Jade let him go, and back up slightly. "I don't understand." She said. "Will Scarlet Ribbons kill me, if you fall in love with me or something?"

[Vilkas]

"No... Scarlet Ribbons knows nothing about vampires," Yuan explained "Shadows appear and disappear at will, Cat's Eye can see your past and future, Bloodlusts gain strength from blood and heal wounds with their tongues, and Loveless... we are a rarity... we have all the abilities of the other vampires, but in exchange... tragedy will befall anyone we love"

[Erika]

Jade nodded, and hugged him from behind. "Is it okay for me to love you?" She asked. "Even if you don't love me?"

[Vilkas]

"You would be safer if you didn't" Yuan said. He gentle removed Jade's arms and added "This is why I must insist that you see me as a slave. Nothing more"

[Erika]

Jade stepped back, and turned her back on him. "I can't help what I feel." She cried. "I can show us as slave and master in public, but when we are here at home, then I'm free to do what I want." She turned and looked at him. "I want to be with you. You're the best thing my parents could have given me."

[Vilkas]

Yuan sighed and said "It doesn't work that way. Love me and die, that is all there is"

[Erika]

Jade nodded. "Very well." She turned her back on him, and flopped on her stomach on her bed. Silent tears made there way into her eyes.

[Vilkas]

Yuan sighed and said "Sleep well master... you have school to go to in the morning"

[Erika]

Jade turned to look at him, and groaned. "Fucking hell." She swore. "I hate school."

[Vilkas]

THE NEXT MORNING

Jade's mother handed Yuan an umbrella and said "this should help a little, it's supposed to be sunny today" Yuan bowed his head and replied "thank you mistress" Jade's mother looked up the stares and asked "Jade? Are you up? You don't want to be late for school!"

[Erika]

Jade groaned, as she got dressed. Her hair still wet from taking a shower. Fully dressed, she brought her brush down, as she tried to brush it. "Yeah." She said, yawning.

[Vilkas]

((When did Yuan wake her up?))

"Yuan, be a dear and make breakfast for Jade, please?" Jade's mother requested as she lightly placed a hand on his shoulder. Yuan bowed and replied "Yes mistress" as he turned and left for the kitchen.

[Erika]

((when she refused to wake up when her mother tried to, and she nearly smacked her mom?))

Jade sighed, and went back up stairs. She put her hair up in its usual style, grabbed her wallet, and her school bag. Coming back downstairs, she went into the kitchen, and sat down at the table.

Yuan placed a bowl of oatmeal in front of Jade along with a piece of buttered toast and a glass of orange juice.

Jade looked up at Yuan, and smiled. "Thanks." She started to eat it. Once done, she ate the toast, and took a little sip of the orange juice. Making a face, she put the glass down, and pushed it away from her.

[Vilkas]

Yuan removed the offending beverage and replaced it with a glass of chocolate milk.

[Erika]

Jade grabbed the glass of chocolate milk, and guzzled it. Once done, she emitted a small belch, and licked her lips. "Thanks for breakfast." She said. Getting up, she went to the living room, and laid down on the couch.

[Vilkas]

"Don't go back to sleep Jade" her mother said with a sigh. Yuan cleaned up the kitchen and stood beside the door, waiting for when Jade was ready to leave.

[Erika]

Groaning, she waved a hand. "Whatever." She said. Closing her eyes, she sighed. All she wanted to do was sleep.

[Vilkas]

"We must leave now Master" Yuan said as he looked at the clock.

[Erika]

Jade yawned and groaned. Getting up, she rubbed her eyes, and stretched out her back. "Fine." She said, tiredly. Going to him, she hugged him. "But I'm only going because I know you will drag me there if I don't."

[Vilkas]

"As you say, Master" Yuan replied as he opened the door.
