Jade looked up at him. "We own each other. We belong to each other. Neither one of us are master, or servant. We are both roles at once." She blinked, and then looked at the floor again. Trying to fight tears, she closed her eyes.

Jade looked up at him, tears starting to roll down her cheeks. She extended her hand to him, and patted the space beside her. "Please?" She asked.

Jade crawled into his lap, and wrapped her arms around his neck. Placing her head on his chest, she continued to cry.

Yuan was surprised. He hesitantly hugged Jade back, praying to God that she didn't notice his slow, weak heartbeat.

Jade listened to his heart beat, and then looked up at him. "Are you a vampire?" She asked. Feeling his arms around her, she rested her head again on his chest.

Not hearing his response, she closed her eyes. "It's okay. Your secret is safe with me." She said. pulling away slightly, she looked into his eyes. "I like vampires." She admitted. Blushing slightly, she said, "I admire them."

Jade smiled. "Vampires are to be admired, and feared. Yet I do not fear them." She tried to convey her honesty through her eyes. "I am grateful that I finally have one that I can call friend."

Yuan replied, as though he practiced this line countless times "Scarlet Ribbons Incorporated does not sell friendship. We sell flesh and fantasy"

Jade slapped him, unable to control her emotions any longer. "I don't care what Scarlet Ribbons sells." She got off his lap, and turned her back on him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." She turned back to him, tears in her eyes. "I have anger issues. But that can't excuse what I did. I apologize."

Jade froze, and started at him. "Others?" She asked. Going to him, she threw herself into his arms. Understanding what they could have done to him. "I'm so sorry." She cried.

Jade looked up at him, clearly confused by this statement. "What do you mean?" She asked.

Jade got off his lap again, went over to the wall, and punched it. "I would never do that to you." She said, as she continued to punch the wall. She punched it until her knuckles were bleeding.

Yuan went to Jade, took her bleeding hand and licked the blood away, healing the hand.

Jade froze as he took her hand, before she was able to hit the wall again. Seeing him lick her hand, and watching it heal, her eyes went as wide as saucers. "Wow. You are a real vampire." She said. Looking up at him she threw her arms around his waist. "Tell me everything about vampires. How can I become one?" She asked.

Jade's eyes widened as he told her. "A small bite to the neck, and then the exchanging of blood?" She asked, when he had finished telling her. Looking up into his face, she smiled. "I want to be a vampire too." She said. "Will it be painful?"

Jade let him go, and nodded. "I understand." Thinking she cocked her head at him. "You feel no love?" She asked. "Will you eventually feel it for me?"

Jade went to him, and hugged him from behind. "What is the price?" She asked. "I love you."
