X-Men: Innocence

[Vilkas]

The X-men have strived for years to improve relations between human and mutants, but now all their success is being undone. A series of assassinations, both attempted and successful, have occurred, and all the evidence seems to indicate specific members of the X-men. For the first time in years the Xavier Institute has had to close its doors, and the residents have gone underground - literally. While the students have been sent away, the X-men and a handful of older students who wished to help remain in the secret underground part of the X-Mansion. From there, they hope to determine who is framing them and clear their names before anyone else is killed.

[Vilkas]

Cosmo sat in the window sill of the living room of the mansion. He liked to pretend he could see the world outside. It gave him... hope.

[Erika]

Erika sat at Cosmo's feet, playing with her favourite toy, kitty. She hummed a song, that she remembered her mother singing to her before her powers awakened, before being left in the forest.

[Vilkas]

"Erika..." Cosmo said hesitantly "tell me what outside is like?"

(Cosmo only asks this when he's worried or upset. The only exception is if he goes somewhere new)

[Erika]

Erika stopped humming, and looked up at him. Projecting her thoughts to him, she told him. 'Outside is beautiful. The sun shines, and it casts such warmth, that it feels happy. The sky is blue, and the clouds are white and fluffy like cotton balls.' Her voice was sad, and childish. 'Outside, is where I wanna be, but I can't, because now its dangerous.' Erika, started to cry slightly.

[Vilkas]

Cosmo blindly felt for Erika, finally finding her and tenderly wiping the tears away. He liked being with Erika, but when she didn't talk his whole world was black. It made it hard to be there for her.

[Erika]

Erika started to cry, her sobs, and sniffles loud. Feeling Cosmo wipe her tears away, she threw her arms around his neck, and nuzzled into him.

[The Family God]

Decker walked aimlessly down the halls of Mutant HQ, every now and again projecting his powers forward in search of some electronic device to hack into. Ever since he had come here, he hadn't been able to use his power outside of hacking his own electronic devices, an act that barely so much as entertained him for a few minutes. He passes by a room with a male and a female in it, one of them crying and the two of them seeming to be locked in an embrace. He stopped walking, looking through the doorway to the two for a moment.

"Jeez, who died?" he asked with a light chuckle.

[Erika]

Erika jumped, looking over at the new comer, she frowned. "No one. Why?" She asked, keeping her thoughts to herself, and Cosmo.

[evan..relic]

Ben stumbled out of the forest, face bloodied. Around him could be heard the near silent crackling of electricity.

Looking up at the mansion, his eyes rolled back into his head as he fainted.

((A misc charcter could find him, get knocked out, alerting everyone to his power))

[The Family God]

Decker rolls his eyes, "Calm the hell down, little girl, I meant nothing from that. I'm just trying to figure out why you've decided to soak the mutt's shirt, that's all." He grinned, shrugging ever so slightly in the way he tended to. Once more he tried projecting his mind outward again, still searching for any form of electronic device.

[Vilkas]

"I'm not a mutt," Cosmo replied "I'm a pure-blooded mutant." He liked joking like that with Decker.

[The Family God]

He chuckled softly, looking over to Cosmo, "I'm sure you are...would you rather I call you 'the pooch'?"

[Vilkas]

"All cower in fear! I am the mighty POOCH!" Cosmo cried out, laughing happily.

[Erika]

Erika chuckled. sensing a mind reaching out, she went to touch it with her own. 'Who is proecting their thoughts?' She asked through her mind. Looking at Decker, she narrowed her eyes. "It's you, isn't it?" She asked out loud.

[The Family God]

Decker turns to look at the female with a raised eyebrow, "Hmm? What do you mean by that? Can't exactly 'protect' my thoughts, really, not that adept wihen it comes down to mental stuff~..." He watches the female carefully, concerned that she might be trying to invade his mind.

[Erika]

Erika looked at him. "I can read anyones thoughts." She said, her voice becoming dangerously low. "I can sense yours, but I don't know if it is to hurt, or help."

[The Family God]

Decker smirked mischievously, looking to Erika. "I suppose you could say I'm kind of half-and-half in that regard~." He chose to leave that sentence up to interpretation rather than explain himself.

[Erika]

Erika rolled her eyes, and gave Cosmo a squeeze. "You are not a threat." She said to Decker. "But you are not friend either. At least not yet."

[Vilkas]

"I like Decker" Cosmo replied.

[The Family God]

Decker smiled, looking to Cosmo, "At least the pooch enjoys my company...perhaps you'll learn to do the same, lil' miss~."

He peered over the shoulders of the two mutants, seeing a male lying prone. "...don't suppose that guy's taking a nap?"

[Erika]

Erika looked up at Cosmo. "You like everybody." She whined. Suddenly licking Cosmo on the cheek, she laughed.

[Vilkas]

Cosmo yelped and fell to the floor. Ignoring the incident he said "u-um... w-we should check it out"

[The Family God]

Decker nodded, moving out of the way for the two to pass him by, should they decide to use the exit he happened to be standing in. "Be my guest~."

[Erika]

Erika laughed harder, and fell off Cosmo's lap. Rolling on the floor, she continued to laugh. Gasping for air, she looked at Cosmo. "Check what out?" She asked him.
