Sam cursed. "Great. Now what?" She kept her ground, but made sure she was out of range of the smoker. "Jake, I'm sorry for what I said." She told him, knowing she may not have another chance to say it to him at a later time.

Till looked up to the staggering smoker, finally within range. He snarled viscerally, his tendril shooting out from it's 'sheathe' and flying up towards the Coughing One, the sharpened point aimed for it's torso.

"It's fine. Now let's get rid of this damn thing."

"Kyo? Can you get it?" He pointed at Kyo and the Smoker as he tried to take another shot and only managed it's right arm.

Till felt his tendril stab into cold flesh up above him, his guess was that he had punctured the Coughing One's chest. He retracted his tendril, the Coughing One's writing body being pulled down with it. He then walked over, bringing his pistol to bear and firing a single shot through the creature's head essentially at Point Blank. After the act, he breathed a sigh of relief, retracting his tendril and walking back towards the group.

[Erika]

Sam saw what Till had done, and stood blinking. She wasn't able to speak. Looking over at Kyo, and Jake, she realized that Kyo would never be hers again.

"Never mind... Thanks... um..."

Till sighed, stepping over and into the building, having passed through the broken window. "If you're asking my name, you can ask your lady friend...suppose this blasted monstrosity on my arm is good for *something*..." he replied to the male.

[Vilkas]

Kyo went to Jack "sorra" (Sorry)

Sam shook her head. "Thanks Till." She said. Brushing her hair out of her eyes, she placed her gun back in the holister on her thigh.

Putting his hand on Kyo's head, he smiled, "It's okay."

"So, you're Till... Reminds me of a band I used to like."

((Yes, I'm making that reference.))

Till sat down in his earlier seat without so much as a word, occasionally glancing at the others nearby, almost in expectation.

Hearing the male's comment, he chuckled, "Till is a common German name, boy. I'm sure a name like Jacob or Matthew would be common here all the same."

Kyo attempted Tikk's name "t--.. Tii... Tikk"

Jake shrugged and looked up at the sky, "I think it's high time we found shelter for the night. Undead freaks swarm during the night. We can go for that stockpile of injections tomorrow morning."

[Erika]

Sam rolled her eyes. "A name is just a name." She said. Looking at Kyo, she had a longing to hold him. She wished that he had never been taken by CEDA. She wanted her Kyo back.

Hearing Jake, she shrugged. "Maybe."

Till chuckled softly, "Too bad you weren't around a few minutes ago, I do believe I mentioned a bit of a safe room in the basement of this here restaurant, it's where they used to store some of their food supplies and keep it safe from burglars, I think. It's locked, last I checked, but I was able to remedy that last night...you're welcome to stay, if you will."

Jake shrugged, "Well, that would help."

[Vilkas]

Kyo forced his head under Jack's hand and said "Keh-oh faddo Jaack" (Kyo follow Jake)

[Erika]

Sam nodded. "I will stay as well." She said. Getting up from the counter, she made a move to say that she would follow them.

Jake gave Kyo's head a quick rub, "Let's head down for the night. I get the felling that we'll all need some rest. We'll strike out around seven or eight tomorrow morning. We'll figure out where to go tonight or something."

He looked over at Till, "Lead on."

Till nods once, getting up to his feet. "It's just down in the basement. Don't fall behind," he comments neutrally. Turning about on his feet, he heads over towards the kitchen.

Getting there, he opens up an unlocked hatch, revealing a rusty red ladder down into a fairly dark basement. Till steps down, practically sliding down the ladder before walking over to a large metal door. He then turns around, looking back and waiting patiently for the others.

About to follow Till down to the basement, he froze when he heard something or someone move. Drawing the pistol from it's holster on his side and using his left arm as a brace, he pointed it at the source of the noise, "Who or whatever you are, come out with your hands up or I will shoot."

And this time, I won't miss... He thought to himself.

((Jake kind of considers Sam, Kyo, and Till friends now and he's loyal to his friends.))

[Vilkas]

Kyo turned to look where Jack had aimed his hollow stick and immediately took a defensive stance in front of him, though out of the way of his stick.

Gun still trained on the newcomer, Jake said calmly, "Who are you?"

He made sure to keep eye contact.

[Stonewing]

"My name is tim, but most people call me flash, as accounted to my track and field records. How about you?" Tim asked the stranger, daring a glance at the jumper...thing...

[evan..relic]

"Jake. Jake Starling." He glared sidelong at Tim.

[Vilkas]

Kyo snapped his teeth at the new fleshie.

((Means stay back. He doesn't trust Tim)

[Stonewing]

"Woah there buddy, I really don't mean trouble. All I have is a bowie knife, and no place to stay. I was lookig for shelter, and I heard a noise from in here. Thats it." Said Tim, holding his belt, near the sheath to his knife.

[Vilkas]

"Rick oh-ff Keh-da!" (Reek of CEDA) Kyo hissed.

Putting a hand on Kyo's head, "Give us a reason to trust you." Surviving in this broken world had left him paranoid. Plus, he like making people sweat.

((I think we ought to wait for the others))

Till's patience starts to wear thin, none of the folks he had just recently met had decided to follow him, and he could hear a fair amount of chatter up above him, presumably in the main room. He sighed, turning to the locked metal door to the storage room. His tendril began to slide out of his arm once more, slithering onto the floor and squeezing itself through the crack beneath the door. Angling the tendril as he had done a few times beforehand, he grabbed the doorknob from within, unlocking the door with a quick flick and opening the metal obstruction. He sighed, pulling his tendril back into his arm and turning about. "At least the door's open when they head back down..." he muttered to himself.

Till headed back up the ladder, a bit noisily at that. As he gets back up onto the main floor, he looks out to the group, noticing one extra person he hadn't seen earlier. He instinctively hid his infected arm, putting one hand on his pistol and looking to the newcomer. "Well...hope your introduction is better than mine was, stranger...anyone care to introduce ME to this guy, or should I be grabbing my pistol?" he called to the group neutrally.
