'Come on, off to bed. We've got a busy day tomorrow.'

Erika nodded, and yawned. Nuzzling into his shoulder, she closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

Ben smiled as he gently lay Erika down in her bed, gently kissing her forehead, he said, "Good night."

Walking over to his bed, he lay down without taking his clothes off and immediately fell asleep.

Erika tossed and turned in her bed. Fleeting images of the boy attacking her went through her head, invading her dreams. Her telepathy made her bed, and some furniture in the room shake.

Ben awoke by being tipped off of his bed, blinking the sleep away he saw the furniture shaking, he rolled his eyes, 'Erika. Wakey, wakey.' He thought to her as he walked over to her bed and gently touched her shoulder.

A few images of her dream washed through his mind, he shook his head again, 'Erika.'

The room stopped shaking, and she awoke. Yawning, she rolled over, and looked up at Ben. 'Daddy?' She asked, a little confused.

Erika cocked her head at him. 'I made things shake?' She asked, even more confused.

'Your psychic powers made it so. Your mind is getting stronger...'

Suddenly breathing in sharply, a blue light filled the room: a Time Gap.

Ben grimaced as the light flowed into him, his energy levels spiked as the Gap integrated into him.

'Time... Great...'

((No effect on Erika, Ben can affect Time when he wants to now, but whatever he changes will be unstable (fluxing between past, present, and future)))

Erika blinked, and then felt Ben shake as he held her. 'Daddy, ok?' She asked. Shaking her head, she concentrated. Suddenly kitty flew up into the air. Erika yelped, and kitty fell back on her bed. 'Me scared.'

Erika cocked her head, and then face palmed herself. 'Me angry, me make things shake.' She said. 'Me not mad, me able to control.' Catching what this could mean for her in future years, she smiled. 'Me show Beast?'

Erika closed her eyes, and concentrated. Picking up one of his guns with her mind, she flung it across the room. The gun hitting the wall, went off, the bullet hitting the mirror, shattering it.

Ben sighed as he caught the ricocheting bullet with his mind and repaired the mirror at the same time, 'What was that for?'

Erika, clearly startled, blinked. 'Oopsy.' She said, clearly amazed with herself.

Ben smiled, 'I'll help you with your powers in the morning, Beast will be helping Mirriam tomorrow with a small trip to the big playground tomorrow, I'll be there too.'

Erika clapped her hands. 'Yippe!' She siad, happily. 'We all go to the park?'

'School trip, I had forgotten about it. But, yes, to the park, but first sleep.' Ben yawned.

Erika nodded. She wiggled in his arms, trying to get free. 'Me need potty.' She said, in a small voice.

Erika ran to the bathroom, and locked the door. She went potty, washed her hands, and unlocked the door. Running back to Ben, she detoured, and jumped onto his bed.

Ben smiled as he crawled on to the bed and crawled so he was at Erika's back, he gently hugged her in tightly, 'Good night little one.'

The next morning, the sun woke Ben up by blasting him right in the face, he closed his eyes as he sat up, "Dammit." He rubbed his smarting eyes, 'Wakey, wakey Erika. School time, park trip today.'

Erika awoke, and smiled. 'Me see Beast?' She asked, with a happy tone. She loved going to the park.

'Yeah, we'll both see Beast. And Mirriam.' Ben got up and picked Erika up at the same time, 'Now, come on kiddo, get dressed and grab your stuff for school, we'll be going there first, before the park.'

Erika giggled, and wiggled out of Ben's grasp. She got herself dressed, and got her school stuff, putting it at the front door. Waiting for Ben, she hummed a tune Beast had taught her, and sang to her when he had found her in the forest all those years ago.

Beast growled slightly as he searched his room for the first aid kit he carried when he helped take the kids on field trips. Walking on all fours, he smelt the rubbing alcohol, and unburied it from a pile of towels covered in blue fur. Chuckling to himself, and shaking his head, he muttered, "Always in the last place you look, and the most uncommon of places." Rolling his eyes, he exited his room, and went to Ben's and Erika's room. Banging on the door, he yelled, "You guys coming?"

Erika jumped slightly as she heard someone banging on the door. Hearing Beast's voice, she giggled, and opened the door. Once the door was open, she leapt at him.

Beast caught Erika, and boosted her onto his back. Entering the room, he closed the door behind him. "Hello little one." He said in a happy tone.

Erika smiled, and hugged him from behind, for she was on his back. 'Hello Beast.' She said, happily. 'We go to park?'

Beast chuckled, and rolled his eyes. "Yes, we are going to the park, but we have to wait for your father."

Erika sighed, and nuzzled in between his shoulder blades. 'Okay.' She said, as she decided to wait patiently for Ben.

Ben came hopping out of the bathroom, one pant leg on, and trying to get his other leg into the other one, 'Sorry, my mind was... elsewhere.'

Finally getting his cargo pants on right, he took a comb out of his pocket and forced his hair to resume it's usual shape, unlike the bedhead he sported a moment ago.

Going to his bedside table, he unlocked one of the drawers and pulled out a holstered Jericho 941 and clipped it into place under his left armpit before grabbing his tan leather jacket and putting it on. The outline of the handgun could barely be seen from outside.

Directing his thoughts at Beast, so that Erika could not hear him at all, 'I have a bad feeling, I usually bring the gun when I get those feelings.'
