Erika, Beast

[Erika]

Magneto let Erika down, and then went over to the window Ben was at. "I know it comes as a shock. I'm sorry I didn't say anything at the court hearing."

Erika went to Beast, and hugged him.

Beast hugged Erika back, and then just held her.

Suddenly Ben vomited out the window, the stored time energy in him was beginning to wreak havoc on his body. Plus, his migraine was getting worse.

Magneto just watched Ben throw up. He sighed, and went to the kitchen table, and sat down.

Erika stayed in Beast's arms. She was happy, but confused.

Beast wrinkled his nose at the smell of vomit, but stayed on the floor holding Erika.

Pulling his head back in, he wiped the corner of his mouth on his sleeve, "Okay, explain. What in the name of dear Gaia is going on here?"

[Erika]

Magento, looked at Ben, and frowned. "What do you mean?" He asked.

Beast rolled his eyes. "I think he wants to know if you're serious."

Magneto sighed. "I am serious."

Erika whimpered, and hid her face in Beast's shoulder.

Rubbing his temples, "Let me rephrase myself, why are you here?"

[Erika]

Magneto, placed his head in his hands. "Because the sniper that tried to kill Erika today, was hired by her father."

Erika looked at Magneto, wiggled out of Beast's arms, and ran to Ben.

Beast stayed stock still, and silent. What Magneto had just said, caught him off guard.

Picking Erika up, Ben looked at Magneto, "How can you be sure?"

[Erika]

Erika wrapped her arms around Ben's neck, and laid her head on his shoulder.

Magneto rubbed his eyes. "Because he told me. I went to his house, because he sent me a letter telling me he knew Erika was alive." He looked at Ben, and had tears in his eyes. "He told me, while holding my daughter at gun point. She was devastated to know Erika was alive, and that my son in law was still trying to kill her."

Beast growled, but stayed still.

"How long ago was this?"

[Erika]

Magneto looked away, and placed his head in his hands. "I went today to see him. Thats why I came here to you. I had to warn you, that he won't give up until she is dead."

Beast roared, and bared his teeth. "No one will hurt my little cub." He said, threateningly.

Erika stayed quiet. She didn't know what to say, all she knew was that her real parents were involved.

Magento looked at Ben, pleading with his eyes. "Ben, you have to help me protect her." He shook his head, and said in a low voice. "Why do you think I let you have her?"

Ben sighed, "Alright, alright. What do you have in mind?"

[Erika]

Magento looked at Erika, and sighed. "The only way to protect her, is to kill him."

Beast growled. "Done." He said, as he launched himself out the window.

Erika heard this, saw Beast go out the window, and cried out. "No." She said, but it was too late. Beast was already gone.

Magneto looked sad. "I don't know what else we can do."

"Well, for one, we can put our trust in Beast. He's a good hunter."

[Erika]

Erika sighed, and tried to sleep.

Magneto shook his head. "For Erika's sake I hope he doesn't get himself killed."

Beast kept growling to himself. He was thoroughly pissed. He would continue to hunt, until he found the person responisble for hurting his little cub.

Ben sighed, "I sure as hell hope not, oftentimes he's the only one that can calm Erika down. For me to calm her down, I have to force my way into her mind and that hurts the both of us."

[Erika]

Erika fell asleep in Magneto's arms.

Magneto sighed. "I hope not too."

Beast came to a house. He saw a woman weeping, crying out Erika's name. He growled, as he saw the father. Leaping through the window, breaking it, he grabbed the man and dragged him out. The father, screamed, and tried to hit Beast, but Beast was too strong. Hauling him out, he grabbed the man by the throat and ripped it out. The man gargled a few incoherent words, then bled to death. The woman had fainted. Beast roared into the night, only to be met by a tranquilizer dart in the chest. He toppled over, and his head swam. He saw dark spots in his vision, then saw no more, as he fell unconcious.

Ben sighed and shook his head, "Something's up. I can feel it..."

[Erika]

Erika continued to sleep in Magneto's arms.

Beast awoke in a cage. His animal side taking control of him, he growled and roared ready to kill.

Ben held his head in his hands, "It's late. We should get some sleep. You take the bed, I have a cot in the closet." He began to walk towards the closet, "Knowing Beast, he could very well be back by morning."

[Erika]

Magneto put Erika in her crib to sleep. And then took the proferred bed. "Thanks." He said, his voice filled with worry.

Walking over to the closet, Ben pulled the mentioned cot out and unfolded it against the far wall. Not bothering to undress, he grabbed a spare pillow from the closet and lay down on it.

Staring at the ceiling, his thoughts drifted to the current conundrum; it gave him a migraine.

[Erika]

Erika continued to sleep, unaware how much danger Beast was in. Her mind was alive and searching for him, but she remained calm.

Beast was determined to get out. He slammed himself against the bars of the cage, ignoring the pain her felt, as he tried to escape this prison. His human side was no longer present, as his animal side continued to dominate his actions.
