Geralt snorted slightly, 'Do you forget how we got up here in the first place? Besides, they're too scared of this mountain to even come close to it.'

Thinking it over, he conceded, "Fine, I won't. But they make a move, it's their funeral."

Ayasha looked at him and growled. 'Yes I remember how we got up here. However I happen to be too weak yet to do it again. And the pups do not know how to, as they are not old enough.' She said, protectively and defiantly. Softening a little bit, she said in a loving tone. 'However if they do come here, than I will not stop you from killing them.'

Laying down beside Ayasha, he sighed, "Fine. I won't go. But if they do, I want you and the pups to move to the back of the cave."

[Erika]

Ayasha smiled at him. 'As you wish my love.' She said. Closing her eyes, she rested, as did the pups.

Going to lay near the mouth of the cave, Geralt couldn't help but stifle a sigh as he looked over the forest, now in the full activity of the day. Birds singing, rodents scurrying about through the tree tops; in the distance he could see the dark plume of smoke that marked where the humans lived.

Again he sighed as he thought to himself, 'When life ends, we shall persist...'

Ayasha didn't open her eyes, but she did sigh. "You're being depressing again." She warned him out loud.

Geralt jumped, "Sorry, I forgot you could hear me."

Getting up from where he lay, he walked over to Ayasha and laid down beside her with the pups between them, "Sorry. I've been getting strange flashbacks to when I was alive, and they haven't been nice..."

[Erika]

Ayasha opened her eyes, and looked at him. "So it happens to you too?" She sighed, and laid her head on her paws. The pups slept, unaware of their parents conversation. "Mine have never been nice."

Geralt nodded, "Never have been, never will be."

Laying his head down on his paws, he let his muscles relax for a moment in an attempt to redirect his mind from those memories.

Looking over to Ayasha, he quickly lunged forward and licked her on the nose and retreated; all while smiling.

Ayasha jerked slightly, and then gave Geralt a dirty look. "What was that for?" She asked, trying not to laugh.

"I love you? Is that a good enough reason?" His grin grew wider.

[Erika]

Ayasha sighed, and then laughed. "Alright. It is a good enough reason." She cocked her head at him, and gave him a silly smile. "I love you too."

Geralt smiled and shook his head. Looking at the pups, he chuckled, "They are growing fast, aren't they?"

[Erika]

Smiling, she nodded. "Yes." Nuzzling Azure, she sighed. "I just hope that we can all live happily."

[evan..relic]

Giving each of the pups a light lick, he nodded, "As do I."

[Erika]

Ayasha smiled. "I know." She said, with happiness. "We will, once the pups are old enough, and strong enough to fight."

Geralt thought to himself, And fight, they might.

[Erika]

Ayasha smiled. 'I can hear your thoughts, my love.' She said softly through her mind.

[evan..relic]

Geralt smiled, 'I had forgotten, my love.' He looked out over the forest then back at the pups, one could almost see how fast they were growing. He chuckled, 'Soon enough we'll have to teach them to fight.'

[Erika]

Ayasha looked at the pups who were sleeping beside her, and then looked at Geralt. 'Yes, we must teach them to fight.' She said, her voice reflecting sadness. 'I hope they won't need too.'

'Everyone must fight in their life, whether it is to protect themselves physically or to protect their individuality.' Geralt scanned the horizon, something had arrived in the forest and he didn't like it.

[Erika]

Ayasha looked at Geralt, then out to the forest. She felt his unease, but didn't ask for she didn't want to set his anger off. 'I understand.' She said, her voice soft, and cautious.

Walking back to Ayasha, he lay down and looked at his mate with loving eyes, 'Let the next few days be uneventful at best.' He thought to her.

Ayasha smiled at him. Her eyes were filled with the love she held for him. 'I agree.' She said.
