Erika giggled, and turned around. 'What now?' She asked.

'We do some food shopping.' He got up and went to get his jacket and Erika's coat, 'It's a little chill out there today.'

Erika skipped behind him. Her eye still had the green tinge, and her lip was still cut, but her serious injuries were gone. 'Daddy. Me want pet.'

Erika thought for a moment. 'Wolf.' She said.

'You can't have a wolf for a pet, you can get a dog, puppy, but no wolf.'

Erika giggled. 'Can I have Beast as a pet?' She asked.

Ben slapped his forehead, 'Silly little missy. Beast is no pet.'

He picked her up and put her on his shoulders.

Erika giggled louder. 'I love you daddy.' She said.

As the pair walked down the street, Ben saw the guy from the hearing across the way. He gave the two of them a dirty look.

Ben was tempted to age him into dust, but thought better of it.

Continuing to walk, they arrived at the grocery market, quickly retrieving a cart, he put Erika into the cart, 'Time to get some food.'

Erika sat quietly in the cart, and nodded her head.

Ben quickly gathered all the needed food they needed.

While waiting in line, Ben looked around. He noticed something that he really doubted others could, strange electric blue openings in the air, "What the?"

Erika looked up at Ben, and frowned at his exclamation. 'What's wrong daddy?' She asked, concerned.

'I don't know if I hit my head or something, but I can see these weird blue streaks floating in mid-air.'

He shook his head forcefully several times, when he looked again, the streaks were gone, 'Ok... they're gone now, but...'

((The streaks are weaknesses in Time. Eventually he'll learn that he can utilise their properties to not using so much energy when accelerating time. Keep in mind: they're rare. Only appear in areas where a LOT of energy was expended.))

Erika gave Ben a weird look, and started to pick at her nails.

Ben quickly tapped Erika's hand as the line moved forwards, 'Erika, do you want your fingers to bleed?'

Erika looked at Ben, shrugged, and made a little whimper.

Erika lowered her head, and sniffled. 'Daddy hit me.' She said.

'It was a tap, Eri. It didn't hurt. Besides, I'll buy you some chocolate ice cream after the movie. How about that? Am I forgiven?'

Erika looked up at Ben, and cocked her head in thought. 'Well.' She then smiled. 'Cocoa ice cream please. I forgive you.' She said.

Ben smiled and ruffled her hair, 'Double scoop for you, then.'

The line moved forwards a little more.

Erika giggled. She then saw a toy puppy in a bin, and she pointed to it. "Me want." She said outloud.

Erika pointed again, and whined. "Please daddy. I want it." She said.

Ben grinned as he picked the toy up using his mind and deposited it into Erika's arms, "There, was that so hard?"

Erika hugged the puppy toy, and giggled. "Thank you daddy." She said, as she shook her head.

"Your welcome, Erika."

Finally they came up to the register, the food and the toy were quickly paid for.

Quickly putting Erika on his shoulders, and picking up the bags of groceries, he quickly began walking back to their home.

Erika cuddled Puppy, as they walked home. She saw the man from the hearing, and whimpered. 'He scares me.' She said.
