"I'm fine..." He said through gritted teeth, "Old battle scar is acting up." He chuckled.

Just then the sound of a conch shell sounded in the distance, "Lunch time." He started to walk back to his cabin as the Hermes kids started to head back to their cabin.

((At lunch and dinner, the campers sit at their own tables (sorted by cabin) and offer up the best part of their meal to the gods in the central fire pit. Oh, the goblets can contain any non-alcoholic beverage you want, just say the name.))

At the table Hermia drank her usual iced herbal tea. She kept eying K, who sat across from Jason only because he was told he had to. He drank plain water, but when he pulled his mask down to drink the water one could see small scars that riddled his lips.

Jason eyed the scars as he sipped on the ice cold cola, the carbonation hardly bothering him, he chose not to say anything about them.

He sniffed the air, the sweet smell of the offerings still lingering on the air.

Not able to stand the silence, "K? Something bothering you?" He asked.

[Vilkas]

K shook his head and explained "these scars are very fresh. They are simply bothering me at the moment"

Considering his options for a moment, "If you would like me to, I could heal them for you. If you do, meet me down by the lake. But that's not what I meant, I mean is there something bothering you emotionally?"

[Vilkas]

K turned his goblet in his hands as he said "I... my first encounter with a Grecian Monster was Arachne. She sewed my mouth shut so I couldn't scream for help, and then bound my limbs. If that Satyr didn't come when they did... I would have been eaten alive"

Jason nodded as he watched a few of the campers leave the pavilion, "I would think Arachne would have dead set eyes for descendants of Athena, not for those of Hades."

Suddenly his head jerked forwards into his food when Jack smacked him heavily on the back of head as he passed, Jack laughed as he caught up with some of the other Ares kids.

"Styx." Jason swore as he rubbed the back of his head and cleared his face of the food. Calling after him, "Next time I'll make you gargle the toilet water!" All Jack did was laugh harder.

[Vilkas]

Suddenly, K clutched at his chest as Jack choked on a rapidly swelling tongue. K called out "Ch-Chiron help!"

Chiron came galloping over, "What in the name of?" He picked up Jack, "Oh dear..." He galloped off, carrying Jack to the infirmary.

Jason turned to Keeran, "Did you...?"

[Vilkas]

K quickly gulped down the rest of his water like he hadn't drank in ages. Hermia looked at K in shock and said "I think he did"

Laughing and clapping, "Remind me to keep you near by from now often."

[Vilkas]

"I... I think I gave him the plague" K gasped. Hermia tilted her head and asked "how do you know?" K looked at Hermia and said between breaths "the last time... I gave someone the plague I... felt dehydrated and breathless"

Jason stared at him, disbelief written all across his face, "Well...at least we have ambrosia, the ultimate cure-all for us demigods and gods..."

[Vilkas]

K nodded and said "the last person... not so lucky"

[evan..relic]

"Well, that's mortals for you." Jason rubbed his hands together, "You want me to get rid of those scars for you?"

[Vilkas]

K shook his head and said "It's a reminder... I never want to be that helpless again"

[evan..relic]

"You won't be, we're all one big family." He eyed the Big House where the infirmary was, "Jack'll be fine. Hopefully this'll humble him a bit."

Getting up, a dryad swept up his plate as she passed by, "I'm headed for the lake anyways, it's free time and I want to get some swimming in."

[Vilkas]

Hermia jumped over the table, grabbed K's wrist, and ran off, saying "race ya!"

Jason laughed, with hands in pockets, he walked towards the lake, calling after her, "Not even going to try."

[Vilkas]

Hermia let go of K just as she jumped into the lake. K just barely kept his balance on the edge of the water and backed away.

Jason laughed as he approached K, "Don't mind her too much." He wanted to clap him on the shoulder but decided against it.

Taking off his t-shirt, he swan-dived off of the dock and right into the water, swimming down as far as he could go he mentally sighed as his body adjusted to the water pressure.

Water was like his second home, it was one of the few places he could think clearly. It helped that he had the ability to stay under the water for insane amounts of time, being a son of Poseidon and all.

[Vilkas]

"M-Miss Hermia! You don't have a change of clothes here!" K called to her. She giggled and said "I'll be fine"
"You're going to catch a Cold"
"Then I'll go back naked"
Hermia laughed as K fell flat on his ass just at the thought. She took a deep breath and dove under the water to meet with Jason.

Hearing the exchange between K and Hermia, all he could think was, 'Stranger things have happened.'

Jason shot Hermia a look that said, 'Race you across the lake.' He knew that in this environment he would win, he was a bloody fish underwater. He grinned as he got into position to start.

[Vilkas]

Hermia wrapped her arms around Jason's neck and smiled. She didn't want to race, she wanted to swim with Jason.

Jason rolled his eyes, eyes saying, 'Fine.'

He dove slightly deeper to grab some water grass, turning his back to Hermia, he began weaving them into something.

A moment later, he turned back around and offered her what looked to be a rose.

((Weaving is something Jason likes to do when underwater. He learned the art from the naiads.))

Hermia smiled wider and accepted the rose.

K lay on his back up above on the shore of the lake. He couldn't swim because of his weak lungs, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the sounds of the lake as he watched the sky.

Jason smiled. Inwardly he blushed slightly.

Swimming back up to the surface, he looked at K, "Everything okay, K?"

[Vilkas]

K looked at Jason and said "everything's fin up here." Hermia waved and said "join us!" but K shook his head and replied "can't swim"

Jason hauled himself up onto the deck, his body oddly dry, "Tell-" He was suddenly cut off as he dodged a brilliantly blue bolt of lightning as it struck the deck, leaving a charred hole in the wood, "What in the name of..." He looked up at the darkening sky, "That's weird, the camp's supposed to be protected from the weath...Oh, Styx." He muttered as the air shook with thunder

He watched Chiron suddenly go flying by, carrying a greatbow, saying, "No, no, no not again!"

Holding his hand out to Hermia, "Come on. I've got a bad feeling about this... Don't worry about the water, you'll be dry as soon as you get out."

Hermia took Jason's hand and allowed herself to be pulled out. As she marveled over how dry she was, K fumbled to get his face mask back on. Very nervous, K asked Jason "What in the name of Styx is going on?!"
