Jason gulped nervously, he didn't know what to say.

Taking a deep but silent breath, "It's...nothing."

Hermia smiled and said "ok!"

Jason took another deep breath, one, he wanted to tell Hermia about how he felt for her, but at the same time, he didn't want to ruin their friendship should something go wrong between them.

From inside the infirmary, Chiron called, "Jason! Hermia! The satyr is awake!"

Standing up, "Come on. I want to know what this guy's story is." He walked back in and gave Alastor a smart smack on the back of the head and shot him a look that said, 'Say anything about our conversation and I'll feed you to Cerberus.'

Hermia smacked Jason after he smacked Alastor and gave him a stern look that said 'don't smack people'

Alastor stiffled a chuckle and approached the bed.

Jason shook his head as he sat down in one of the chairs.

The satyr sat on the edge of one of the beds, his abdomen completely wrapped in bandages, tiny horns could be seen among his short, curly brown hair.

Chiron crossed his arms, "Go ahead."

The satyr took a deep breath, "He's," He motioned to Edward, "Edward Zythys. I believe he's the son of Zeus."

A sharp intake of breath came from Chiron.

Continuing, "I convinced his mother to let him go after the Furies attacked them in Central Park, in plain daylight, no Mist, it seemed that the every creature in the Underworld was sent after us, even Cerberus was sicked on us." He pointed to his bandaged shoulder where the edge of what looked like a bite mark could be seen poking out from under it. He looked at Edward, "He's a sweet kid. Kept wanting to throw himself between me and every monster that came our way."

Alastor subconsciously held his left side. He knew how painful a bit from Cerberus could be. He looked at Edward and said "it would seem we have the sons of Poseidon, Hades, and now Zeus all in one place."

Chiron nodded, "I have a feeling that that might produce some interesting results."

"Hey, hey, hey!" Jason stood up, "I'm K's friend. Last I checked, Poseidon and Hades weren't the best of friends at all. Why should the children take on the shortcomings of their parents? Even if their parents are gods?"

[Vilkas]

Alastor placed a hand on Jason's shoulder and said "be at ease, that is not what I meant." Hermia tilted her head to the side and asked "then what do you mean?" Alastor thought for a moment before saying "this camp may very well become a target. With Jason, Keeran, and Edward as the prize"

Jason looked at Alastor, "I always thought that the boundaries were impenetrable to anything not wanted in here."

[Vilkas]

Alastor crossed his arms and said "forgive me. Old age and past experience has made it... hard for me to believe in impenetrability." Hermia asked "how old are you Alastor?" Alastor looked long and hard at Hermia before replying

"I forget heh heh heh"

Jason eyed Alastor suspiciously, "You're descended from Hebe, goddess to youth, aren't you?"

[Vilkas]

"Yes. Why?" Alastor replied

Shaking his head, "Never mind."

Just that moment, Edward moved making Chiron, the satyr and Jason jumped, Edward's eyes fluttered open, "What the?" He muttered, mouth as dry as a desert, "W-where am I?"

Chiron smiled, "Welcome Edward. To your new home." He said gently.

Edward groaned and fell back onto the bed.

Alastor got a glass of water for Edward and said "here, drink this slowly" as he handed to glass to him.

Edward propped himself up on one arm and took the glass and slowly drank it, finishing it, he put the glass down on the small table beside the bed, "Thanks... What happened?"

Chiron, "You made it to Camp Half-Blood in one piece with your protector, even amid hordes of monsters."

Edward fell back and groaned, "So it wasn't a dream? Damn...." He muttered the last part.

[Vilkas]

Hermia placed a gentle hand on Edward's shoulder and said "don't worry. It might not be a dream, but the nightmare part is over"

Jason looked hard at Edward, then held out his hand, "Well, in any case, welcome to camp, cousin."

Edward looked up, "Cousin?"

Jason, "Long story. But we're related through our dads."

Shaking his head, "Whatever. I get the sense that this place is a lot better than out there." He took Jason's hand.

Suddenly the hair on Jason's head stood on end and started to shake, small arcs of electricity coming off of his skin, Edward let go suddenly and Jason fell to the floor convulsing. Edward backed up, "I'm sorry. I-I don't know how that happened." Sadness washed over him.

[Vilkas]

As Alastor went to help Jason, Hermia slapped Edward across the face and screamed as loud as she could "HOWDAREYOUAFTERWESAVEYOUANDWELCOMEYOUTOOURHOMEFIRSTYOUALMOSTHITHIMANDNOWYOUMIGHTHAVEKILLEDHIMYOUHEARTLESSMONSTER"

Chiron put a hand on Hermia's shoulder, "Peace child." Edward cowered back, "I-I'm s-s-sorry." He looked to be on the verge of crying, there was a sudden loud boom of thunder outside.

"Edward, your father is Zeus, king of the Gods, and the embodiment of the air." Chiron looked at him as Edward returned with a bewildered stare, "It's all true, and it would seem that you have inherited your father's...spontaneous nature. It is controla-" He was interrupted by Edward moving towards Jason, he eyed Hermia, then looked at the still convulsing Jason, putting his index finger on Jason's forehead, he stopped convulsing and relaxed.

A small arc of electricity arced from Edward's shoulder to edge of his jaw, "I-I pulled the electricity from him. I think I might have this under control now..."

[Vilkas]

Hermia glared at Edward and said "thank you, but I still hate you." She went to Jason and asked "are you ok

((how late can you stay tomorrow?))

Jason shook his head, then held the side of his head, "What happened? No, don't answer that." He could feel a metallic tang on his tongue and could guess.

Edward shrank back, "I expected as much. Most people end up hating me."

Quietly, Jason said, "I don't."

((Not sure. I'll ask later. We have company right now.))

[Vilkas]

K poked his head in the door and said "s-sorry to bother you Chiron, but there's a crazy person running around the camp"

"Jason, rest here for a little while, I'll go see what's going on." Chiron galloped out of the infirmary, "Lead on Keeran."

K lead Chiron to the Ares Cabin area and said "I last saw him in this area"

Chiron looked around and breathed in deeply, "No, not he, it's a she."

Looking around, "Whoever you are, come out. We will find you." He called out.

[Vilkas]

"How can you tell they're a she?"

[evan..relic]

"When you're a centaur that has been around humans, whether demigod or mortal, you start to notice things that many others miss. For instance, there are subtle scents that accompany the male and female." Chiron said while still looking around.

[Vilkas]

Suddenly, the intruder fell from what seemed like nowhere onto K and held a knife to the base of his skull where the spine connects. They growled, like a savage animal warning a predator, and glared at the centaur.

[The Family God]

Bedlam crawled put form the confines of a small tent not far from the Ares cabin, looking to the person holding another at knife point with cheerful curiousity. His grin widened as he began to approach the knife weidler, "By the Gods, yes! Another knife-user and not another sword-swinging simpleton! Welcome to the camp, broth-...sis-...sibling," he commented.

[Vilkas]

The intruder turned their attention to the new person in view. They snarled and brought the knife closer to K's skin, drawing blood. The intruder screeched like Euyale during Medusa's death, discouraging any to approach.
