As they entered Trottingham Roan already felt out of place. He approached a Mare and asked "excuse me, but do you know where we might find a detective? I, uh, I lost my cat"

As Roan talked he made sure to keep an eye out for anypony that might give them trouble. He tried not to speak as he might let himself slip.

[Vilkas]

"Oh, you want Octavian" the mare replied
"Octavian?"
"You don't know? Falsetto Octavian is the best tracker in all of Trottingham!"
"Where can we find him?"
"Look for the musical looking-glass"
"Thank you" the mare stopped Roan and handed him a bag of apples "what's this for?" The mare laughed and said "that's what you pay Octavian with. He helps ponies in exchange for food"

Listening to the conversation, Geo's eyebrow went up, Helps ponies in exchange for food? What?

[Vilkas]

Roan thanked the mare again and left. "What do you think she meant by a musical looking-glass?"

[evan..relic]

"I don't know. Could be a bell, a music note made of glass or something." Geo kept his voice down, slightly paranoid as some ponies were giving him weird sidelong glances.

[Vilkas]

Roan looked up at a sign and replied irritatedly "or a looking-glass that plays music... why not just tell us that"

[evan..relic]

Looking up, Geo grumbled, "Or that."

[Vilkas]

Falsetto looked up from his work as the to stallions walked in. He gave a polite bow to welcome them. Roan placed the bag of apples on the desk and said "we need your help. Tuxedo Masquerade. Heard of him?" Falsetto thought for a moment, read a few pages from a book on the desk, and left. Roan looked at Geo, shrugged, and followed.

Geo watched the curious exchange, and followed Roan as he left with Falsetto. He made sure to keep his head down as his paranoia was increasing.

[Vilkas]

Falsetto lead them from building to building. A sweet shop, drink stand, finally to a sewer pipe.

Geo's eyebrow went up again, something worried him.

He sensed the guards just entering Trottingham now.

[Vilkas]

"So... in there?" Roan asked
Falsetto nodded
"Do you ever talk[/i]?"
Falsetto nodded again
"... good to know" Roan replied as he entered the sewers "we ain't done with you Octavian" Falsetto straightened, but still followed Roan.

[evan..relic]

Geo followed silently, then spoke, "We have to hurry, those two guards are in town and I think they're starting to ask questions."

((He's edgy))

[Vilkas]

"Close now" Falsetto finally said. He stopped and sang "come seek us where our voices sound" a voice replied "we cannot sing above the ground" A grey unicorn approached and asked "who are these people Falsetto?"
"Safe. Not guards"
"Are you so sure?"
"Pegasus and unicorn" Roan jumped and said "Hey, how did you--" The grey unicorn cut him off "don't bother. He doesn't tell anypony how he knows what he knows"

Geo jumped and took off the hood, revealing his horn, "So I take it that you're the guard that deserted?"

[Vilkas]

"Tuxedo Masquerade," Tuxedo bowed "at your service" Roan eyed Falsetto as he asked "can you tell us what happened in Canterlot? I mean, something has to have happened to change Princess Celestia into the all powerful Tyrant" Tuxedo looked between the two stallions and replied with a simple "nothing"

"Nothing happened"

[evan..relic]

"Wha? Nothing? It... It just CAN'T be nothing! There has to be something that happened! Something like this just can't happen over night!" Geo said in disbelief.

[Vilkas]

"Well, that's what happened in Canterlot. One day everything was fine, next day we were murdering ponies in their sleep" Tuxedo replied. Falsetto suddenly left. Roan asked "where--" Tuxedo walked after Falsetto and said "when it comes to Octavian you just follow him"

[evan..relic]

Geo followed the two, curious. He was also careful... and paranoid.

[Vilkas]

Falsetto stopped at the entrance of the sewers where they had come and pointed to Trottingham "hear?" Tuxedo's ear twitched "what is that?"

((Guards))

[evan..relic]

Geo closed his eyes and a second later, he opened his eyes, "Crab apples, guards. The two from earlier as well." He backed up slightly and put on his hood.

[Vilkas]

"No point in that now" Tuxedo said as he backed towards the sewer. "This is too open, get back. Now!" Tuxedo pushed Roan and Geo back. Falsetto stayed behind. "Why isn't he running?" Roan asked "he's buying us time. Now move it!"

[evan..relic]

As he ran, Geo looked over at Tuxedo, "Will Falsetto be okay?" He was always worried for the sake of other ponies. Looking at the cloak, he debated whether or not to lose the cloak.

[Vilkas]

Tuxedo nodded "he's done this for me more times than I care to count. He only came back injured once." Roan stopped as screams echoed down the pipe. Tuxedo turned back.

"FALSETTO!"

[evan..relic]

He turned to Roan, "What should we do? Follow or keep going?"

[Vilkas]

"We fight. Let's go" Roan replied as he turned to follow Tuxedo.

[evan..relic]

Geo followed, horn already glowing with a faint green-blue light, he was ready to cast any magics as needed, especially healing.

[Vilkas]

As they caught up with Tuxedo they saw Falsetto, bloodied and unconscious, in front of Crimson Dagger. Tuxedo gritted his teeth and said "Why... WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!" "Why? He got in the princess's way" Crimson replied.

[evan..relic]

Leaping over Tuxedo, he bucked Crimson Dagger in the chin with his powerful hind legs, "Get away from him!"

Galloping over to Falsetto, he leaned down and released a burst of magic to heal him, "Come on Falsetto. Get up."
