Children of The Zodiac

It's an all out gang war! In the city of Rohan there are 12 gangs:

The Children of Aquarius - masters of poisons and antidotes
The Children of Pisces - masters of distraction
The Children of Aries - masters of the forge
The Children of Taurus - masters of the chase
The Children of Gemini - masters of illusions
The Children of Cancer - masters of Intel gathering
The Children of Leo - masters of hand-to-hand combat
The Children of Virgo - masters of seduction
The Children of Libra - masters of assassination. Singers entertain the Warriors
The Children of Scorpio - masters of guerrilla tactics
The Children of Sagittarius - masters of the bow
The Children of Capricorn - masters of manipulation

Each gang steal their 'recruits' from the streets, orphanages, and foster homes. The recruits are trained differently for each group. Father Aquarius force recruits to poison eachother to perfect their poisons and antidotes, Mother Pisces trains recruits to ignore distractions and feeds those that fail to the others, Father Aries burns his recruits with their failed weapons, Father Taurus uses moving walls to crush recruits that aren't fast enough, Mother Gemini drugs her recruits to desensitize them and kills whoever can't hand the hallucinations, Mother Cancer burns her recruits that leave any trace after extracting information in training, Father Leo puts recruits in an arena and pits them one-on-one where the loser is disemboweled, Father Virgo emotionally scars his recruits to detach their emotions and failures are left as empty shells in the streets, Mother Scorpio shows film after film and forces her recruits to imitate what they learn or they die, Father Sagittarius has his recruits make bows or die by them, and Mother Capricorn conditions her recruits to trust no one but her and teaches them how to appear disarming.

Mother Libra is the most sadistic. Singers are kept in dark, cold rooms until needed to boost morale of the Warriors. Warriors are trained like any regular army, and teased with the enticing Singers. Elite Singers act as both Singers and warriors. They are kept in cold, dark rooms where a warm liquid rains from the ceiling. Singers and Elite Singers are forced to wear straight jackets when not entertaining Warriors.

Each gang has a 'signature'
Aquarius - Water on the eyes
Pisces - A blood trail that leads nowhere
Aries - A sword drawn in blood
Taurus - Missing feet
Gemini - Limbs are tied together
Cancer - Missing head
Leo - Missing hands
Virgo - Lipstick on the neck
Libra - Everything is mirrored on each side
Scorpio - Joints are cracked or broken
Sagittarius - A shard of wood in the hand
Capricorn - Mouth is sewn shut

Some recruits have grown tired of these wars and how the children are treated. They have formed their own group called 'The Children of The Zodiac', and they have decided to take the other gangs down one at a time.

Chad walked down the halls of The Children of The Zodiac's hideout. He held a bag of new weapons he made in his forge for the newest members.

Luke lay on his bed, dressed in his white shirt, slacks and black trench coat, hand covering his eyes. He groaned as he slowly bent his right knee to a ninety degree angle and back straight, popping and cracking could be heard quite clearly, "Stupid Bulls..." He muttered.

Swinging around so that he sat up, he took his hand away from his eyes and looked out into the hall through his open door.

[Vilkas]

Chad entered Luke's room, without knocking as was the norm for him, and handed Luke his custom weapon. He somewhat loomed over the bed, which intimidated most because of his rather frightful appearance, but he meant no harm.

Luke took the weapon with a grin, "Thanks Chad."

((What kind of weapon is it?))

[Vilkas]

Chad nodded. He wasn't used to making guns so Luke's gun was a bit... rough, but practical.

Luke pointed it around the room to get a feel for it, "Thanks again." Luke smiled as he stood up and stretched, back cracking several times.

[Vilkas]

Chad tilted his head to the side quizzically.

((Chad is mute))

"Those Taurus jerks bruised me up good the last time we fought them." He massaged his neck where a particularly stubborn black and blue bruise was.

[Vilkas]

Chad nodded again. When he saw the bruise he made a circular motion with his finger, demonstrating the proper way to massage the bruise.

Following the directions, Luke began to massage the bruise like Chad was demonstrating, immediately it began to feel better, "Thanks."

Grabbing the holster from the makeshift bedside table, he slipped the gun that Chad had given to him into it and strapped it to his belt, positioning it so that he had easy access to it when needed, "Any new rescues?" He asked.

[Vilkas]

Chad looked away and crossed his arms over his chest, a sign that he used whenever they failed to rescue a Child.

Luke sighed and hung his head, "Is it just me or is it getting harder to rescue these kids?"

[The Family God]

Pierce wandered the fleshy walls of the building, trying to convince himself he really was in one of the homes for the Children of the Zodiac and not his own personal hell.

Passing one of the demons (children) in the hall, he looked into a room nervously, eyeing two more demons roughly his age chatting with each other, overhearing something about kids and rescues.

"When is the time of departure for the next siege, o' horned one?" he asked to the demon sitting down (Luke), his tone mostly serious with a hint of nervousness.

Luke looked up, "Greetings Pierce." He dimly recalled someone telling him about Pierce's hallucinations, demons of some sort, hence the greeting, "I haven't received any word from higher up yet. But even so, be ready at a moment's notice."

[Vilkas]

Chad dug a picture of Will from one of his pockets and handed it to Luke. Will was the one that saved him, and he always came to the others with orders. Chad hoped that Luke may know if Will was their leader.

((No one knows who the leader is. Only Will has seen him, so he claims))

Luke looked at the picture, and shook his head, "I doubt Will's our leader, though I do find it odd that all of our orders come from on high through him."

Groaning, he stood up, "I have to get to the 'lab,' last I heard they got something that might give us an edge in the coming battles."

[Vilkas]

"Good, that last attempt was a disaster" Will replied, leaning against the doorway.

Chad jumped and scrambled to keep his bag of weapons in his hands.

[evan..relic]

Luke nearly hit the ceiling when he jumped, clutching his chest, "By the Zodiac itself!" He cursed under his breath.

Taking a deep breath, "Will you stop sneaking up your allies? I'm pretty sure that all of our nerves are on edge after those crabs got the drop on us a few weeks ago."

Then nodding, "Yeah, the last fight was a fiasco."

[The Family God]

Pierce blinked a few times, barely able to keep track of what had transpired in front of him. "Notify me when we're ready to take off, I'll be readying up over by the mess hall, " he commented, turning down the hall and heading towards his room, intent on gathering all of his equipment.

[Vilkas]

"We're going after The Children of Virgo, so bring whatever you need to prevent a boner and meet me at the sewer entrance" Will said and then he left.

Chad looked at Luke, nodded, and left to prepare. He usually didn't go on missions, but with so few of them going after an entire house... he didn't want to lose any more people.

[evan..relic]

Luke covered his eyes and groaned, "Great... Just great..."

The last time he had gone up against the Virgos... Well, he was nearly killed cause he got distracted by their looks.

Picking up the Beretta pistol from his 'table,' he lashed it onto his belt. Calling after Will, "Wait up for me. I'll grab the stuff from the lab!"

He ran out of his room and down to the lab. Wordlessly, one of the 'scientists' there pointed to a crate sitting against the wall. Opening the crate, he saw it was filled with vials. He smiled as he recalled that the guy that indicated the crate was liberated from the Aquarius. Nodding his thanks, he picked up the crate, thankfully it wasn't too heavy, and half ran, half jogged down to the sewer entrance.

Arriving, "Alright boys and girls, we got new toys from the lab that ought to make this battle in our favour. Make sure to keep yourself stocked on antidote, they're marked, last thing we want is anyone captured or killed by friendly fire."

[Vilkas]

Chad came shortly after, arming himself with clawed gauntlets and spiked greaves.

Will smiled and said "We'll give 'em a run for their money. The head honcho says their getting new 'recruits' today, so we'll hopefully get to them before Mother Dearest breaks them"

"It's Father Dearest Will." Luke corrected.

Will shrugged and said "it's all relative until we get a peek under that robe of its"
