Jumping slightly, Derrick went looking in his pocket for his letter. Finding it, he suddenly had troubles seeing which was odd, he knew that he was wearing his glasses.

Salem took the letter and said "more riddles"

Rubbing the corners of his eyes restored some of his vision, he took back the letter and read aloud:

"Three lives have I. Gentle enough to soothe the skin, Light enough to caress the sky, Hard enough to crack rocks. What am I? What is it that after you take away the whole, some still remains? They say that time will bring this, sometimes faith, what am I?"

Mulling it over for a second, he sighed, "I know the first one's water. But the others? You got me."

Salem thought hard before replying "healing. The last riddle is healing"

Derrick scratched his chin for a few minutes, then with a gasp he smacked himself on the forehead, "What is it that after you take away the whole, some still remains? Wholesome! ...But what does that h... Ohhh. Wholesome as in being complete. So water, wholesome, and healing. Now what?"

[Vilkas]

"... find. We find a coffin, iron ore, and something that represents heart. Then we search for water, something wholesome, and something that heals or represents the act of healing" Salem suggested.

"Sounds good to me. But the question is where?" Derrick wondered.

[Vilkas]

Salem began to walk away and said "wander. Look for clues." He went outside and saw... darkness. It was too dark to see with his sunglasses on. He took them off and called over his shoulder "coming?"

Derrick jumped and ran to catch up, "Should we look for your's or mine first?"

Turning his head, he saw the pitch darkness of the forest, "Crap." He muttered.

[Vilkas]

Salem looked around and said "mine. A coffin is much less obscure than water"

[evan..relic]

"Fine. So be it. We'll look for yours first." He tilted his head to one side as he did a sort of lopsided shrug.

[Vilkas]

Salem made note of the area and said "Atmosphere. This place... sets a lot of atmosphere. Do you see the darkest part?"

[evan..relic]

Derrick sighed, "Atmosphere? Yes, dark and dreary. And yes, I see it."

[Vilkas]

Salem gave an annoyed glare at Derrick and said "which way?"

((Salem can be a bit impatient))

"Isn't that your decision to make considering that this is your riddle? I will follow." Derrick slipped his hands into his pockets as he said that.

[Vilkas]

Salem facepalmed and growled "no, I was asking where the dark atmosphere is! Which way!"

Derrick chuckled, for some reason, he enjoyed getting Salem's goat, pointing off to their right and down a dirt path that led into the forest, "This way to the darkness."

Salem stormed past Derrick, muttering a string of curses and something about not mocking his poor eye sight under his breath.

Derrick chortled as he jogged to catch up with Salem, catching what he muttered, "Thank goodness I eat my carrots then, huh?"

[Vilkas]

Salem slugged Derrick in the gut and said "f*ck you and your carrots." He looked around and noticed... a sea of coffins and open graves.

((Expect a lot of punches from Salem. He's like that. But it means he likes Derrick, he ignores people he dislikes/doesn't care about))

"Oof." Derrick doubled over but that smile remained on his lips.

Straightening up, he saw the sea of coffins, "Well...damn." He muttered.

((Noted.))

[Vilkas]

Salem shrugged, then started opening coffins. He found many corpses, each in different stages of decomposition, but no iron and nothing even representing a heart.

((The coffin they're looking for has a medieval sword on it))

Derrick began looking as well, the words iron and heart going through his head. He had an odd feeling that this wasn't going to be an easy search.

[Vilkas]

Salem found a coffin with a sword and struggled to open it. Suddenly, Salem went flying along with the lid of the coffin. He unburied himself and looked inside "Ugh... disembodied heart... still beating"

Derrick ran over to Salem, "You okay?"

[Vilkas]

Salem pointed to the beating heart in the coffin and asked "is that normal?"

((Again, was raised by dogs pretty much. He didn't do a whole lot of reading))

Looking into the coffin, he gagged slightly, "No. No, I don't think so."

[Vilkas]

Salem shrugged, then proceeded to dig his fingers into the heart.

"Very warm"

Derrick stuck out his tongue, he was always a little squeamish.

[Vilkas]

Salem finally pulled his fingers out and showed Derrick what he was looking for "Key..." The key Salem held had sharp teeth and the head was in the shape of a skull.

He put the key in his pocket and started licking his fingers clean.
