For demon names, think of something that either hints at your characters past or personality, or even matches your character. For personalities, consider them the aggressive anti counterpart to your character.

Demons have different 'levels'. For example, Balthazar is a high ranking Demon. As such he is more cunning than Famine, who is a fledgling or lowest rank. High ranking demons are given the difficult tasks, such as finding and containing Terra, and are only assigned strong willed Mystics. Lower ranking demons often are assigned to Mystics that are believed to be weak willed or easy to provoke into mistakes.

Though demons are free to work alone or with the group, they often have hidden motives and goals beyond Terra.
